dating...

CAUTION: BOYS, DON'T READ.. Seriously

I decided to take some time and post about the dreaded topic for girls 18+ in the Mormon college world.
Yes, I excluded it to only Mormon's because at BYU-I dating is a whole different spectrum.
(Note, this is just from my personal experience, data may vary depending on looks and charm)

First tip to upcoming freshman females-
At your first I-Night dance, you will most likely get asked for your number by more than one guy.
One or more may be attractive and seem clever and charming.
DON'T LET FIRST IMPRESSIONS FOOL YOU!

The male species think they're awesome.
Little do they know.. we actually control most of what they do.
We also give them the ideas they have without them even knowing
this can be a great thing!

Next comes the classic Look, Hold, Turn Away.
Works like a charm.
look them right in the eyes, give it 3 seconds to show interest and not just passing gaze,
then LOOK AWAY!
Don't forget the look away step, you don't want awkward High School Musical flashbacks.
(If it works, the guy will be by your side in a few minutes, depending on courage)

If you know of a guy that is pleasing to the eye and you want to get a closer look,
here is a great way to be able to get to know them, without them knowing your intent.

First step:
Find where they live. (Sounds creepy, but it's key and will be great in the end)
Second, you go over (with or without a buddy), and you ask if they have any eggs.
If yes, ask to use them, and in return you tell them you'll give them some of the brownies you make.
If all goes as planned, you bring the brownies over later that night and they invite you in.
If they don't have eggs, make friendly conversation... and still give them the option of having brownies when you "find" some eggs. (Have backup material to make brownies in this case).
This is proven to work. My sister Kate told me about this one and I have knowledge through experience that it works a charm and so does she:)

Boys aren't very smart when it comes to us females.
We can manipulate them like nobody's beeswax and they will still take credit for the ideas.
If you do the look, hold, turn away,
they think it's their idea and it makes you seem "hard to get"

They also want things they can't have.
So don't be easy..
Easy girls are gross, and usually boys aren't interested after the first meet.

There you have it folks.. A little bit of advice from the girl who wears a fake engagement ring to work so I don't get the creepers anymore. I may be a little confident. But BOYS LIKE CONFIDENCE.
and they also like DECISION MAKING DECISIVENESS
There might be more later, but i'm kinda tired, and I feel like I need a snack.
But I shouldn't eat anymore tonight..
So i'm going to go brush my teeth and pop my retainer in so I don't eat anything else.

Wow, that was super long and a whole lot of words. so here is some eye candy:
Oh how I miss Big Jud's and Fry Sauce

Sick-eee

During my frequent sneeze sessions and massive amounts of flow coming out my nose, I decided it was time to stop wiping my poor little nose with sandpaper Kleenex's. I hopped in my car and headed out to go find me some Puff Plus' (the ones with lotion):

After I watched this commercial, I tried draping the tissue over my nose like a hook (as they show in the video)... Nothing. Is this false advertising? I think in order to get the lotion you have to actually blow your nose in it. Last time I checked my nostrils were under, as opposed to the top of my nose.

While I was on my adventure I stopped at Albertsons to get:

  • Lotion Kleenex's
  • Cold Medicine
  • & Yogurt (For a smoothie tonight)
Turns out Albertsons has a small shelf of cold medicine right next to the gigantic wall of eye medicines. In my mind a cold was a whole lot more common than eye problems, but who am I to know. They didn't even have alka seltzer (day and night pills which are my favorite). So I moseyed back to the car and headed to Safeway.  Thank goodness Safeway has everything! I got all of the above items without trouble (minus standing in front of all the tissues thinking that Puff's was the only brand with lotion, which they didn't have... but Kleenex makes them too so no worries!)

Time to plop myself on the couch, catch up on ANTM and Deadliest Catch, take my drowsy medicine, and fall into a deep sleep :)

I'm going to see Soul Surfer tomorrow.. Has anyone seen it yet? I'm pretty excited!

Update from previous post

Well, it's unanimous... Amber should have used Mallory's pencil.

When Amber got home she came into my bedroom and curled up on the end of my bed like a little kitten and said these exact words; "Worst test ever." Inside all I could think was "Well, should have chose the right pencil CTR." She had chosen the wrong.

In our grief, we loaded into the car and headed for the Cocoa Bean.. Yes, we went out an ate our sorrows in cupcakes and frozen strawberry mango lemonades.

Better luck next time Amber, you can use my pencil anytime ;)

Check out the awesome stuff in my hair!!

A tribute to the CB

The Cocoa Bean is by far the best cupcake shop in the world. It deserves its own post.
Reasons I love the CB:
1. spur of the moment cupcake cravings are fulfilled here
2. red velvet.. enough said
3. cream cheese frosting
4. they are big
5. the steeme hot chocolates are delish
6. they deliver to the MTC
7. I have a punch card and can now get a free drink
8. free wi-fi.. not that I really care, but they have a sign outside saying it so I thought it was important
9. they have a deal for a cupcake and a drink
10. free cupcake making schedules saying which flavors they are making each day (one is on our fridge)

Reasons I should not go:
1. They are fatty
2. They are delicious
3. I want to try every flavor
4. They are pricey
5. they taste so good
6. && I will eat too many
This was their valentines day special of Red Velvet.. yepp, everything I had ever dreamed of.
