loved.

I know Aaron loves me when I look at our REI registry and see that he's registered me for...

THIS!

Although it may be a little embarrassing, I am curious. Can it keep up with my speed or could it over-flow?
I don't have the password to his account so I can't go delete it. Judging by my friends, I will be getting one
this January and I will keep you posted ;)

Okay this made me like Halloween a little

I love the Nightmare Before Christmas, LOVE. There is a guy who decorates his house all out every year for Halloween and does a couple of light shows to popular songs. HERE is the link to his youtube page if you want to see others he's done. My friend posted one on Facebook and then I found the NBC one and it's definitely my fav:

He also did Party Rock Anthem, this one is the one I saw first on Facebook:

They also did Pump It! in 2010 which is pretty awesome.

So cool right!? who has time and smarts for this anyway sheesh!

Happy Halloween!

Eat it all Up

My class is getting so good! I am really enjoying it and am loving reading the great talks and articles about what we as Mormons believe.
I don't want this blog to be all Mormony and keep posting all these religious debates but I promise, this one is GOOD so listen up!

In a class in high school we had the abortion debate. It was awkward and people were getting real fired up about everything. What I remember from it was that the Pro-Choice side kept saying "it's up to the mother, it is her choice, it's her life, she ultimately should decide." that was really all they had to support their belief
HOLD THE PHONE!

I always knew it was wrong but I never had a good way of explaining my reasoning. Well Boyd K Packer put it in the best words I've ever read.
"Always when these destructive life-styles are debated, 'individual right of choice" is invoked as though it were the one sovereign virtue. That could be true only if there were but one of us.The rights of any individual bump up against the rights of another. And the simple truth is that we cannot be happy, nor saved, nor exalted, without one another."

BAM. her right for an individual choice was lost when she decided to "do the dirty" and have the rights of another inside of her.

SO GOOD! Props to Packer.

Fall in Bellingham

I decided today I need to get out and go take some pictures of what fall looks like to me.
First you have to start out with a fall appropriate outfit.

With of course a half zip sweatshirt

The drive from my house to Aaron's

The perfect color

With some on the ground
Not forgetting the marina

...or the boatyard

Whale watching?

or whale watching you

NETS!

Amazing colored trucks

I just can't get enough.

Fahoo fores dahoo dores

It's THAT time of year, when the world falls in love.
Well almost, I love Christmas, and I would like to give Christmas music two and a half months in my house...
and I don't care what anyone says about waiting until after Halloween, where did that come from anyway?

On my request, go to Pandora.com make a login if you don't already have one (free) and type in Christmas.
The Christmas Station is doing the trick for me right now.

Something burned in my oven so my apartment didn't smell too great. But now that the apple crisp is cooking it smells delicious!

OH.MY.GOSH.

That is all.

Gloomy day. I LOVE IT!
Wore a sweatshirt and got all my homework done cuddled up on the couch.
(and went to the gym don't worry mommy)

My religion class is talking about eternal marriage and emphasizing the fact that as Mormons we believe in marriage between a man and a woman. We're also having good discussion on the roles each gender plays in a marriage and how gay marriage can never experience that. What a shame.

At church the other week in R.S. there was a girl there with a strong opinion on thinking that it's not fair that the men have the priesthood and we don't get anything except painful childbirth.
This ones for you:

Did you hear that? Superior, more demanding, complementing, rewards, it's different but we get to "perform the miracle of creation." Now do you want to keep your role as a woman?

I believe that if the men didn't have the priesthood they wouldn't do anything. I have heard a whole lot of younger men say that. It's true! They need the responsibility! So give it to them.

O.M.G.

What a huge waste of my time...

So I had an interview at a tanning salon. (I applied everywhere okay don't judge). First off it was a tall slender woman who was wearing a shirt that made her rack look atrocious. (I should have spilled Victoria's Secret). She had bleached blonde hair (typical tanning hair) and an accent I have absolutely NO IDEA where it came from.

I get there, maybe about 5 minutes early, and the store manager goes and gets her (the owner) and she walks out, doesn't even look me in the eye, flimsily shakes my hand, and goes and tells her manager to call so and so for a business call.
I sit back down and patiently wait with a fake smile on my face.

15 minutes later, she gets off the phone. Doesn't apologize at all. Says "she is ready for me" takes me into what used to be a bathroom but now is filled with papers. Sits me down in a folding chair and shuffles through piles of crap to find my application. Might I add that tanning salons are oddly lit to make you look more tan so the lights were dim and she looked like the devil. I was about to get up and say thanks but no thanks, and I had that feeling about 7 or 8 times. I have never wanted an interview to be over so badly in my life.

We talked for a couple minutes. She thought I was stupid for being 19 and engaged. I thought she was stupid all around and we definitely didn't have any connections. When she asked me why I wanted to work there and she said it was a very hard and competitive job I almost laughed out loud. She had explained what the responsibilities were and the "hardest" thing she had come up with was sweeping the floor and sanitizing beds.  She kept going on about it not being all fun and games (it's a job, why would it be?) and that it is definitely not easy.

I wanted to stop her in her tracks and bring her back to reality. I think cleaning the house is a harder job than this one. Oh and more of the vigorous work included "making sure things weren't dusty." Seriously? Has she ever worked?

She was so stuck up and arrogant that I could never speak with her again. She asked when the wedding was and I said January. She said is 3 days enough time off for that?

THREE DAYS?

I can't believe it. This woman is an owner of a business? Has she ever heard of a honeymoon? I said more like 2 weeks since I actually have to help plan and go home to get things ready, sorry that I'm not stuck up and don't have a slave for me when I want a cup of tea. She didn't like the 2 week idea. But I didn't like her so all is well.

We had a good 6 minute chat, I was at the salon for about 40 minutes, and I will ignore her phone call when she calls back tomorrow.
Let's just say those are the only kind of people who I could NEVER work for.

BUT, Earlier today I had an interview at Subway, i'm pretty sure the girl thought we were about to become Facebook friends by the end of the interview. She asked how many hours she could give me for me to quit Victoria's Secret and work full time for them. I think that's a better match. I like the idea of getting a raise every 3 months better anyway:)

keeping up

with the Kardashians... I'm sorry but that show is pretty darn funny!
That's what I've been doing today, and cleaning and organizing everything.
When I get stressed out I start cleaning and going through crap and throwing stupid things away and organizing every little thing. I've cleaned; the bathroom, the kitchen, the closet, the bedroom..
I've organized; my nail polish, shoes, clothes, nightstand, and am now tackling the bathroom cabinet.

I don't know how Aaron is ever going to fit in this apartment...

My nail polish was all in the outside pocket of a bag..

I also tried out the Starbucks Peppermint hot cocoa:
Two is better than one right? can't go wrong with more flava..
Nope they got it ALL wrong.. Bleckk didn't even finish it, wasn't worth the calories

I can't believe I just said that.. I NEVER thought I would count calories..
But then I bought a wedding dress, and now I see the importance.

While I was going through my nail polish I found the best black nail color I've ever bought. It was from Forever21 and surprisingly worked great!

I remember one time I had just changed my nails from black to a hot pink and that night I had met a boy (who I dated after that) and I remember him telling me about how black nail polish was for hookers and gross people. At the time I was thinking, man good thing I had just changed my nails before I met him. But seriously, he didn't have any taste in fashion or clothing. I went shopping with him and the shirts I picked out for him, he wore every single day after that. He also said that black fishnet tights (even the cute designed ones) were for bad girls who wanted NCMO's.
Lets just say that when I broke up with him I was wearing black classy nails and awesome tights.

But I never have to worry about that again! I'm engaged to a fashionista! kidding, but he does have great taste in what he wears. I love it! I'll never be embarrassed i'm dating someone again!

Gotta get back to cleaning! Aaron is off work in 8 minutes and I need to clean up what I started!

By Popular Demand

A virtual tour of my new pad was requested by many a friend. So here it goes!

The lovely jewelry holder/ mirror that my sister Kate made for me. More about this will be, here right after I finish this post.

A quick cover of some old canvas boards I had:

When I got home from work I found a note on the counter that said:
"The pictures look great, I came by to get some ice cream, see you tonight! Love you"

and then I found this stuck on the old picture frame (that I'm going to replace the photo's asap)

Well it's for sure not January 25th since that's a Wednesday...

Step 1: Hang up frames- COMPLETE!
Step 2: Put pictures in them.. in progress

I know I did it a little backwards, but I needed things on the wall!
The fun frame on the far right courtesy of Holly Horch, I LOVE IT!

Don't forget the surfer inside of me... had to go in the closet though :(

The Living room, Kitchen, Bedroom, Dining Room, and doors to all the other rooms, all in one shot! I know you're jealous.

Looking the other direction. I'm obsessed with the windows and vaulted ceilings, it definitely makes the apartment. (excuse the TV on the floor and the boxes still needing to be gone through)

I'm a girl, and I take up too much bathroom space, Deal With It.

Kitchen Rug made from old t-shirts! Thanks mommy!

There you have it! Well most of it... I didn't take a picture of the bed because it was messy and by the time I cleaned up a bit I had already uploaded the pictures. Too lazy sorry!
You saw my favorite parts though:)
