my dearest washington..

How I miss you...
I cannot WAIT to see you in 4 weeks!!!
I hope you rain for me.. a lot
but then lets go on a nice long boat ride.. (ohh daddy!!)
oh and don't worry Brooklyn, we will have so much fun!!! i miss you to bits!
and maybe then can I take better pictures, of things not frozen, or snow, or grass, or tractors...

Cold Weather

He said I wanna see you again
But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then
She said you're a ramblin' man
And you ain't ever gonna change
You got a gypsy soul to blame
And you were born for leavin'(born for leavin')

Well it's a winding road
When your in the lost and found
You're a lover I'm a runner
And we go 'round 'n 'round
And I love you but I leave you
I don't want you but I need you
You know it's you that calls me back here baby

Two Birds On A Wire

I was listening to the newest Regina Spektor CD and came across the song 'Two Birds' and I really liked what I heard! This video isn't her, but it is the song, and I enjoyed their interpretation of the song.

So living up to my nickname of Art Major in the apartment, I decided to let myself be inspired by the song and use my canvas (that I spray painted black a while back). I was going to use the black one for a different project but I knew that the birds would pop so much better on black. Here is the finished product as of right now:

I think I may add some words a little later, but I really just love my birds on a wire!

I made the birds out of colored cardstock, and the "wire" is made out of some extra hemp string I had laying around. I didn't have any massive staples to staple it to the canvas so I just super-glued it! Works great.

This is where it is hanging in my room. Right next to Cory Monteith;) and above my barrier of blankets and pillows.

One quote to rule them all..

This quite possibly could be my favorite quote of all times. It is so true unfortunately:

"I have a history of making decisions very quickly about men. I have always fallen in love fast and without measuring risks. I have a tendency not only to see the best in everyone, but to assume that everyone is emotionally capable of reaching his highest potential. I have fallen in love more times than I care to count with the highest potential of a man, rather than with the man himself, and I have hung on to the relationship for a long time (sometimes far too long) waiting for the man to ascend to his own greatness. Many times in romance I have been a victim of my own optimism."

canvas

I finally decided to use my white canvas that has been sitting on my shelf.
and of course.. there is glitter!!

a song that makes me feel good should get it's lyrics on a canvas.

Mumford & Sons addict

I have been listening to this melodic band all day. Some days you just have to plug in the little white buds and tune out everything else. Today is definitely one of those days..
