I am now getting asked the same question my sister Courtney has been asked many times before;
"How do you do it?"
They're not asking how we do our hair so great, or look good all the time, they are asking how we stay fit.
The simple answer, that is so correct, is Diet&Exercise. Really that's all. But for the reader who asked i'm not going to leave you hanging with those two words.
Here is some food for thought (LOL)
diet:
Dieting is hard. It takes control, and will power at times. I am THEE WORST at dieting. You can ask Aaron, he can convince me to go out for ice cream at any point in time and I can't say no. What I can control best is my breakfast and lunch. This is the easiest time for me to diet I've found. For breakfast i'm usually not very hungry. I have trained my body to live off a Slim Fast drink in the morning. It was hard at first, since all my life I had eaten a bowl of cereal the second I woke up. After a month or so of weening myself in a sense, my body is used to it and can fully function on just a Slim Fast. For lunch I love fruit. I always try to eat some sort of fresh fruit with my lunch. Sometimes when I'm in the mood, i'll eat a bowl of Special K cereal, or put Special K on top of yogurt. I also eat FiberOne bars, they taste good, and they are healthy for you. Lose It.com is a fabulous FREE website. You can track you calories, exercise and weight. If you don't do it everyday, it doesn't matter, as long as you're aware.
exercise:
It's winter, it's crummy weather, so my tip is get a gym membership. When it's raining and cold there is no motivation to exercise. If you have a place to go, you'll exercise more. If you are interested, invest in a Kinect for xbox. I personally think it's better than the Wii because it can see your whole body instead of just a controller, so there is no way to cheat. They have great games and fun work out discs. The new Zumba one looks fun!
Remember:
No one EVER said it was easy. The thing I found myself doing at first was getting on the elliptical and saying I was going to do the Weight Loss Program, then half way through I would want to stop and do something else so I would make exceptions and say, okay maybe just half of the program. NOW, I get on the treadmill and say: "I'm going to walk at speed 3.5 for this warm up song, then I'm going to run at 5.5 for two songs, then repeat until I get to 2 miles." Going by songs helps me a lot. I have to start out having a goal or else I quit when I'm tired. Another thing that helps is the 2 minute rule. When you get out of breath and tired, keep doing what you're doing for 2 more minutes. You can always do more than you think.
Don't get discouraged-

Start slow and keep progressing. "You will NEVER regret working out, you will regret eating that cookie."

Yep :)
